In order to improve the quality of public transport services and to make the city’s public transport and bus stop network more convenient and comprehensible, changes will be made to the bus route scheme, timetables and the names of some bus stops from 1 June this year.
The planned changes will improve some routes while maintaining the usual travel options for citizens and ensuring more frequent public transport services.
To make the bus route network easier to see for both residents and visitors, each bus route will be given a uniform colour. It will also be displayed at bus stops and in other information material.

Route 1 “Buļļuciems-Lielupe”
All bus services will now run to the bus stop “Rimi Lielupe”. With these changes, the route name will be clarified, with the final destination being Lielupe. As before, the bus timetable will be aligned with the train timetable at Lielupe railway station, providing a convenient connection to Riga. It will also be adapted to certain bus services of route 4 “Bulduri-Slokas stacija” to ensure convenient transfers in Bulduri and access to the central part of the city. In addition, the changes to route 5 will provide Bulluciems residents with more commuting options to the central part of the city and further districts.

Route 3 “Bulduri-Valteri-Kauguri”
To ensure more frequent bus movements and to reduce the time spent on the way, the bus of route 3 will be diverted to Meža prospekt, to the stops “Dzintaru stacija”, “Indras iela”, “Krišjāņa Barona iela”, “Bulduru stacija” and “Bulduri”. At the same time, its terminus will be moved to the Bulduri terminus of the bus route 4 “Bulduri-Slokas stacija”, providing more convenient transfers to other bus routes. The Dzintari (riverside) circle will now be served by bus route 7. The changes will include additional services and the bus will run more frequently.
