To improve the quality of passenger transport services, new journey registration and ticketing equipment will be introduced on the buses of the Jūrmala city route network; testing started at the end of October.

Test recording equipment

At the end of October, testing of the new ticketing and journey tracking equipment started on buses of routes 1, 2, 3, 5, 7 and 8 of the Jūrmala route network. During the testing period, the bus driver can ask to register his/her journey twice – on the existing and on the new equipment – in order to test the operation of the new equipment and successfully start using it to provide ticketing and tracking services on all city routes of the Jūrmala route network.

The new equipment will provide ticketing, journey registration and a passenger tracking system that will enable more efficient planning and delivery of passenger transport services.
