We invite parents to apply for student ID cards for students who will be starting school in Jūrmala, as well as for those who are transferring to another school within the Jūrmala municipal education system. We urge every student to pay attention to the card’s expiration date!
The “Student ID” smart card not only provides various benefits when using services offered by businesses or purchasing goods, but also serves as a student ID card for receiving fare discounts on public transportation.
To avoid lines at the municipal administration’s visitor service centers, parents or guardians are encouraged to apply for the “Student ID” smart card electronically on the municipal services portal karte.jurmala.lv, by logging in via the “Latvija.lv” portal, filling out the application, and attaching a photo and supporting documents.
A parent or guardian will be able to pick up a student ID card at the Jūrmala City Administration visitor service center specified in their application—in Majori (1/5 Jomas Street), in Kauguri (110 Raiņa Street) or in Ķemeri (20 Tukuma Street).
Important!
A student ID card is issued free of charge:
- if it is being issued for the first time;
- if the previous certificate is turned in at the Visitor Service Center.
Business hours:
